At Enright Asphalt, we take pride in tackling even the toughest asphalt maintenance jobs. Recently, West Metro Fire Rescue in Lakewood needed serious repairs at their administration building's parking lot, and we were up for the challenge. Their parking lot had been in rough shape, with extensive alligator cracking, potholes, and various cracks throughout the surface. Clearly, this space needed immediate attention, and we were ready to deliver.
West Metro Fire Rescue is a full-service fire and rescue agency that serves nearly 300,000 residents in several Colorado cities, including Lakewood, Morrison, and Golden, as well as parts of Jefferson and Douglas counties.
On Friday, we jumped straight into the repairs. Some sections required full-depth reclamation repairs due to the severity of the damage. We placed over 5 tons of asphalt in multiple lifts to ensure the patches were solid and long-lasting. In other areas, milling was necessary before laying down 47 tons of asphalt to repair the damaged asphalt.
On Saturday, we focused on filling smaller cracks with hot rubber, ensuring every detail was handled carefully, then moved on to sealcoating the parking lot. We seal-coated over 31,000 square feet of asphalt with nearly 800 gallons of sealer.
The shared entrance with a neighboring office required extra coordination, so we adjusted our schedule and finished the sealcoating early Sunday morning to avoid disruption.
Once the sealcoating was complete, we shifted gears and started striping the parking lot. By late Sunday afternoon, everything was wrapped up and ready for West Metro Fire Rescue to resume normal operations by Monday.
